At the turn of the millenium, the German government announces a bold and unprecedented gesture of good will and reparations - an open invitation to six million Jews to re-settle in Germany. Horovitz's bold and fascinating 'what-if' story examines the unintended social, political, economic and personal consequences as both Germans and Jews are forced to confront long-buried hatred, bitterness, shame, and unsettled scores. This complex and creative drama requires us to contemplate our moral code, forces us to confront complicated ethical dilemmas, and inspires us to forgive but never forget.
