ABOUT ABOUT

Proving that great entertainment never goes out of style, Hub Theatre Company of Boston, Inc., will continue its debut season with the Boston premier production of Love, Loss, and What I Wore by award-winning screenwriters and authors Nora and Delia Ephron (based on a book by Ilene Beckerman).

Like a long heart-to-heart with your best friend, this intimate and engaging collection of stories meanders from musings over wedding-day attire to a rant about loathing the need to carry a purse and everything in between. With odes to first bras, cowboy boots, and outfits that made our mothers cringe, Love, Loss and What I Wore evokes funny memories and poignant stories about tyrannical dressing rooms, painful heels, comfy Birkenstocks and having to choose between the two!

Five of Boston’s best dressed actresses –Theresa Chiasson, Adobuere Ebiama, Lauren Elias, Linda Goetz, and June Kfoury – will bring these stories to life. Three time Elliot Norton Award winning and four time IRNE award winning Boston-based actress Paula Plum, will direct.

All tickets are Pay-What-You-Can. Choose the price you pay when you purchase your tickets. Our 'sweet spot' would be about $20. If you're a student, senior, starving artist, or just on a tight budget, it's OK to pay less. If you are able, your extra generosity will help us cover our production costs. Or if you want to 'test drive' us because we're a new company, pay a modest amount when ordering; if we surpass your expectations, drop a little extra in the jar on the way out.

In addition, at each performance audience members' donations of gently worn clothing will be collected for the charitable organizations Free The Girls (bras), Belle of the Ball (prom dresses), and Amariah (women clothing).
